The England national team will initiate their UEFA Euro 2028 adventure at the the home of Manchester City, provided that they secure the anticipated entry for a championship hosted across the majority of the UK and the Irish Republic.

The English side are planned to play their last two group stage games at the national stadium, but, in the event of winning Group B, their round of 16 match would be held at Newcastle’s St James’ Park. Placing second would mean beginning the playoffs at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The championship was inaugurated at an gathering in Piccadilly Circus on the previous evening. High-ranking officials from European football’s governing body and the host football associations were barracked as they approached the venue by approximately 50 protesters, who called for Israel to be removed from global football because of the conflict in Gaza.
Placards were displayed with messages saying “Show Israel the red card” and “You are complicit”, while activists called out: “Kick Israel out.”
