The Red Devils Poised to Sign Germany Striker Lea Schüller from Bayern Munich
The Women's Super League club are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific Germany forward Lea Schüller on a permanent transfer away from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Marquee Acquisition for United
The forward, with half a year left on her contract, has been a consistent goal-getter for her club and the national team. Having netted over 100 goals for Bayern and found the net 54 times in 82 caps for her country. Her arrival is viewed as a marquee signing for the WSL side.
Departure from Bayern was expected after she was seen fighting back tears while applauding the German club’s supporters following a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
It was reported in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was losing one of its top strikers. According to multiple sources, all the paperwork for the move have now been completed.
Consistent Goal Threat to Strengthen the Attack
The experienced striker's signing is expected to provide a major boost to United’s attacking options. Schüller has been highly reliable with her finishing in Germany’s top flight.
