The House Oversight Committee has released a set of roughly 70 photographs from the estate of former adjudicated individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the latest in a series of release from a tranche of over 95,000 images the committee has secured from Epstein's estate. It includes images of excerpts from the book Lolita written across a female's body, and redacted pictures of female foreign passports.

This disclosure arrives mere hours before the 19th of December due date for the Department of Justice to release all documents related to its probe into Epstein.

"These photos pose additional queries about what exactly the DOJ has in its holdings," said the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photographs Made Public

Several of the photos made public on Thursday show Epstein speaking with academic and activist Noam Chomsky inside a personal aircraft; Bill Gates standing next to a woman whose identity is redacted; Steve Bannon positioned at a desk facing Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the newest high-net-worth, prominent figures to be pictured in Epstein estate images disclosed by the oversight panel - formerly released images also depict US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, ex- US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Appearing in the photographs is does not constitute evidence of any wrongdoing, and several of the photographed men have said they were in no way involved in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a announcement released with the image disclosure, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate's representatives did not provide context or dates for the pictures.

"Photographs were chosen to furnish the general populace with openness into a illustrative selection of the images received from the estate, and to provide insights into Epstein's network and his extremely troubling actions," the statement says.

The disclosure also contains multiple images of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita written in black ink across different parts of a female's body, including her torso, feet, hipbone, and back. Lolita recounts the account of a young girl who was exploited by a middle-aged literature professor.

An example of a passage from the work inscribed across a female's upper body reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the palate to alight, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a collection of photos of female passports and official papers from states globally, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the details on the IDs, including identities and DOBs, is obscured but the committee said in a press release that the passports are associated with "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were engaging".

Another photo depicts Epstein positioned at a desk in close proximity flanked by three female figures whose features have been censored - one has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his clothing, and another is bending to look at a nearby computer. Epstein appears to be aiding the third individual fasten a bracelet.

Another image released is a capture of text messages from an unidentified sender who claims they have been sent "some girls" and are demanding "$$1,000 per female".

Photograph Release Occurs Before DOJ Deadline

The body has a vast number of photos in its custody from the Epstein property, which are "simultaneously disturbing and everyday," its statement on Thursday noted.

The oversight panel first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on allegations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photographs and files the Epstein property provided to the body are different than what is largely termed "the Epstein documents". That material are records under the Department of Justice's control connected to its own inquiry into Epstein.

Under the recently passed law, which President Trump made law last month, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to publish its records. The scope of the contents contained in the DOJ's documents is unknown, and it's likely that much of the information will be significantly censored, akin to Congressional documents
