Nearly twenty-five thousand households in southeastern Queensland were left experiencing outages on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms swept through the area, producing wind gusts hitting over 100 km/h.
Large Ice Stones and Widespread Damage
Residents reported substantial frozen pellets measuring up to 7cm in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that various areas across the state had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.
