Administration Decries 'Democrat Hoax' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Photos Made Public
Democratic lawmakers have published a fresh batch of what they labeled "alarming" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been previously circulated—along with another 70 released later on Friday represent a small number of the approximately 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the actions and ties of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking offenses.
High-Profile Individuals in the Photos
Included in the high-profile individuals shown in the initial batch are celebrities such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Statement
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the photographs for partisan aims and to "attempt to fabricate a false account."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative said, asserting that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for transparency, making public thousands of pages of records, and urging additional probes into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photos were disclosed devoid of explanation, but per a California Democrat and senior member of the investigative panel, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's associations with the rich and powerful.
"It is time to halt this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a release.
The disclosure of these documents coincides with the oversight committee continuing its probe into the Epstein matter.
